“Seek ye out the Book of the LORD and read”
(Isaiah 34:16).
The significance of
planting trees in the desert is found in Isaiah 35.
V. 1, “The
wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them [Who? Those who
return and restore] and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the
rose.”
V. 2 adds: “abundantly…joy
and singing.” Why?
chapter to see all the blessings that follow this restoration, including:
• strengthening of
the weak,
• fearful hearts
made strong,
• healing for the
physically impaired;
• waters abundant,
• healing parched
ground,
• a highway of
holiness
• The ransomed of
the LORD shall return, singing to Zion,
• sorrow and sighing
shall flee away.
