Letter from the Editor
February 2004
Shalom, dear Friends,
Our motto this year is: Like an eagle sour,
through the year Two Thousand and Four. We live in a nation whose
symbol is an eagle. We are grateful for our country and pray for the land of
our birth that it may go back to the roots of its birth!
Another wonderful verse says, He “satisfies your
mouth with good [things; so that] your youth is renewed
like the eagle’s” (Psalm 103:5). Can you testify with me that
God’s rules for healthful living, which Elmer clearly set forth in God’s
Key to Health and Happiness, have verified this Scripture? (This book is
back in print.

But a favorite verse about eagles is: “they that
wait upon the LORD shall renew strength; they shall mount up with wings as
eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not
faint” (Isaiah 40:31). The allegory includes the literal renewal
of older eagles’ lives – but the parable is not only for older generations,
but for youth as well. Why are young people committing suicide at an
alarming rate? Is it because they haven’t learned to power-up their
God-given potential with the fuel of love – His Spirit? Instead, there
is a furious seeking with “ME” at the center, and with the attitude, “To
hell with you” – and then find themselves in the hell they wished on
others. Then it follows: they have no motive to live. Good News:
There IS a different way that promises Life Vs. Death. The strength we all
need for living is in personal knowledge of and communion with our Maker.
Let us know if we can help.
A bit of
up-date concerning Bible Light
We have saved a great deal in overhead expenses by
the recent move. We have found a good printer who does many things we had to
do ourselves to get these publications to you. This, coupled with no longer
having to buy printing supplies, etc., will save substantially and enable us
to put out better looking material. I am grateful for Ruth Newman who is
wonderful help to me here, and Terry Distin in Kansas who formats all the
files for the press.
A tour to Israel:
Several have expressed an interest in going to Israel during
the Feast of Tabernacles, the last of September. If you would like to go
with me, please get in touch.
Judah You’re Not Alone
Conference
Our yearly conference will again be at Mason City, Iowa the
last weekend of October. Plan now to attend. Some special speakers are being
invited, and we want your activity as well. Please contact us; and as time
draws nearer, plans will materialize as we move in the will of Him Whom we
love and serve. Mark it on your calendar and let us know you plan to come.
A Request:
Finally, may we ask a favor of you? Would you write to us and
let us know of your concerns and how we can be more informative, and of more
blessing to you in our publications. We will seriously consider your
suggestions. We certainly do not “know it all” but we also never cease to
learn, and have an un-dying desire to pass it on.
In His Love,
