Only in Jerusalem
Echoes of the past emerge through the dust and
noise of urban reconstruction.
Zev Kedem, who was the coordinating engineer for the
restoration of the Jewish quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, while
searching for clues to the origin of his own restored house there,
rediscovered a will made 400 years ago in Jerusalem by Baruch Mizrachi, “so
that I shall have a home to return to in Jerusalem when I am resurrected
upon the coming of the Messiah.”
