ENLIGHTENING BOLTS

“…Enlightened with the light of the living” (Job 33:30).

It seems from Bible Prophecy – fulfilled, being fulfilled and on the edge of becoming fulfilled – that LIGHT (spiritually, socially, economically and in every good way) will again burst forth at the Command of Him who said in the beginning, “Let there be light.”

The Psalmist said, “His lightnings enlighten the world; the earth sees and trembles” (Psalm 97:4).

Consider these Lightening Bolts from the Prophets:

“And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east; and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory” (Ezekiel 43:2). 

“And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south” (Zech. 9:14).

The New Testament agrees:

“For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:27).

“For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day” (Luke 17:24).

“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory” (Rev. 18:1).  

We see from Scripture that His light and glory are synonymous. There is currently a dark hour sweeping over the world, but be assured, there is also a great light that will dispense the darkness. And let us DO what we can to spread that light. Remember:

“Don’t curse the darkness; light a candle.”
