"And this is the CONFIDENCE [believing faith] we have in HIM [Who is TRUTH and LIFE] that if we ask anything according to His Will [according to His eternal Law which is also His eternal LOVE], he heareth us" (I John 5:14).

It is not taking out of context to apply the above verse from the New Testament in prayer for Israel. ISRAEL IS WORLD CENTER STAGE. And all the hosts of heaven and hell are gathering for the final conflict between GOOD and EVIL which the prophets foretold. Satanic forces will fall on THE MOUNTAINS OF ISRAEL (EZK. 39:4) even if some areas of those mountains have fallen temporarily into PLO hands, they are still God’s appointed MOUNTAINS of ISRAEL.

We must continue the spiritual warfare the believer enters by intercessory prayer. In this particular battle we are ready to claim in faith the next verse of I John 5: "And if we know that He HEAR us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we HAVE THE PETITIONS that we desired of HIM" (V.15).

Over and again in this century, we have seen Him answer prayer regarding His chosen people Israel. He will not forsake them now as we approach the year 2000!

Law and Love are not Enemies

Eternal Law [the Torah of the so called "Old" Testament] and Eternal Love [through the Anointed Son of God] come together and kiss each other (Psalm 85:10) to bring to this weary world ETERNAL LIGHT. Let’s continue to "flow with God" in this day of restoration. The Apostle Paul makes the application in II COR. 8:11-12, "Now therefore PERFORM THE DOING of it; that as there was a readiness to will [It’s in your heart, is it not?], so there may be a PERFORMANCE also out of that which ye have."

For $15 you can plant an almond tree in memory of or in honor of someone or simply just because you want to. A lovely certificate suitable for framing is issued from our BLI office.

For many years Elmer Josephson encouraged the purchasing of Israel Bonds, and we continue to do so. Up to date information on these are kept in our office. All you have to do is request it.

And forget not to "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; they shall prosper that love thee" (Psalm 122:6). Be one of the "watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence, and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth" (Isaiah 62:6,7 - Read the whole chapter and memorize it!). -
